I contacted Aurélien at the beginning of the year to help us with our mobile game project in terms of public funding for video games. ("FAJV", "CIJV") We wanted to put as many chances as possible on our side and work with someone who understood our problems as a video game studio. I think that's one of the big advantages of working with Aurélien. When I spoke with him about the game, I immediately understood that I was not dealing with a simple public funds consultant but with someone who has real expertise in the sector. First of all, he has a real gaming culture as a player, but he also masters the business issues, whether it be gameplay, scenario, marketing or production.
Aurélien's other strong point is his perfect knowledge of the public funding environment, especially in the video game industry. For each funding institution, he knows the stakes, the key points of the file to be written, the important elements to put forward as well as the level of requirement on each part. In our situation, this was our first file of this type, so it was very reassuring for us to be able to trust his past experience on similar files.
Finally, personally I really enjoyed working with him. Despite the workload during the application period, he was always very available and educational, which was really appreciated during the rush. We felt supported in all phases of the process.
